A Tale of Silent Sorrow
This animation video was crafted for the Grafixx festival in Antwerp, Belgium. Using ZBrush and Blender, I created it by combining 3D modeling with inspiration from my hand-drawn sketches and pages from my previous graphic novels. Set in a desolate forest, the narrative follows a tree as it laments the sorrow and despair felt by the natural world, enduring the relentless destruction wrought by humanity. Through poetic reflections, the tree recalls its once harmonious existence with the wind and the vibrant life it once sheltered. Now, only darkness and death remain. As the tree accepts its fate, it mourns the unchanging nature of human greed and the irreversible damage inflicted on the environment. This animation serves as a haunting reminder of the fragility of our world and the urgent need for change, or it could be seen as an analogy for someone's struggle for survival.
